Our Only Cousin

Megan and Greg (Daniel's Sister and husband) now live in North Carolina. They were able to make the trip out here to us in Utah on New Years Eve. They landed in Utah basically at midnight so they were able to celebrate New Years Eve the entire flight across the country. Not so fun for their one year old, since by the time they landed it was 4am their time. It was rough getting over the jet lag. But Macy did cling to two people in particular...Aunt Kaitlin and Grandpa. She was a little weary of our crew. She is used to playing by herself having all her toys and just her mom. Well she was awakened to the terror that is Carter. Madison was really good with her, and I'm happy to say she motivated McKinley into walking. Since Macy was walking all over the place, McKinley wanted to as well, but the problem was that she wanted to use Macy for support....see any problems there? Anyway it was nice to visit with them and see them since we don't get to see them as often anymore...sometimes by web cam (which is great) but it's nice to actually feel someone in your arms when you hug them instead of a computer screen. Anyway here are some pictures of when we had to say goodbye to our only cousin...

Here's Carter squeezing her guts out...poor Macy...Carter just has so much Love he can't contain it or himself.

There's McKinley trying to use Macy as a support...they are about the same height McKinley is a little bent over since she's about to lose her balance or support (Macy)

When we first went over to see them Macy and McKinley gave each other a huge hug and no one caught it on film (or digital film) so when they were leaving we tried to get another picture of them hugging....Macy wasn't so willing. Poor thing had been sick a couple days before and really only wanted Grandpa...so this shot is the closest we could get after that Macy would straight arm McKinley and not let her near.

Macy and Madison

How cute....look at my posing queen
McKinley was so jealous of Macy's hair, she ended up pulling it several times...sorry Macy...but she does have gorgeous curls...I'm even jealous

Anyway they left on the 8th and we miss them terribly...I guess that gives us a reason to come visit :)
We love them and miss them and it's hard to say goodbye to our only cousin, but we did....until next time....
